NoDecaf is a personal productivity app developed by HAHWUL. I respect your privacy and am fully committed to transparency. This policy explains how NoDecaf handles your information.

Data Collection

NoDecaf does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information from its users.

There are no:

  • Analytics or tracking
  • Cloud syncing or backups
  • Third-party SDKs or services that collect data
  • Advertising identifiers or device fingerprinting
  • Network calls of any kind

Local Data Storage

NoDecaf uses your Mac's local storage (UserDefaults) to save your schedule triggers and app preferences. This data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to any external server, third party, or me. You can clear this data at any time by deleting the app.

System APIs Used

NoDecaf uses only first-party Apple APIs, all processed locally on your Mac:

  • IOKit power assertions — to prevent the system from sleeping while a session or trigger is active
  • IOPowerSources (battery state) — to read the battery level and charging state for battery-aware triggers
  • URL scheme handler — to receive nodecaf:// commands from Shortcuts, Raycast, Alfred, and similar tools

None of these APIs involve the network. Battery state and power assertions are read and managed entirely on-device.

App Store & Device Data

Apple may collect standard diagnostic or crash data if you choose to share it with Apple (this is optional and controlled in your device settings). NoDecaf itself does not request or access any such reporting.

NoDecaf does not use iCloud, Keychain, or any other cloud service for storing user content or preferences beyond standard local app storage.

Children's Privacy

NoDecaf is not directed to children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app does not collect any data from any user, no special measures are required; however, if you believe a child is using this app inappropriately, please contact me.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this privacy policy occasionally. Any changes will appear here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
