Inkfurrow is a personal writing app developed by HAHWUL. I respect your privacy and want to be clear about how the app works. This policy explains how Inkfurrow handles your information.

Data Collection

Inkfurrow does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information from its users.

There are no:

  • Accounts or sign-ins
  • Analytics or tracking
  • Third-party SDKs or services that collect data
  • Advertising identifiers or device fingerprinting
  • Servers of mine, or network calls to them

Your Notes

Your notes are saved as plain Markdown (.md) files in a folder on your device, and images you add are saved to an assets/ folder beside them. These files stay on your device and are never transmitted to me or any third party. You can open, move, back up, or delete them like any other file.

Sync with iCloud

If you turn on Sync with iCloud in Settings, your library folder moves to your own iCloud Drive, and Apple's iCloud service keeps it in step across the devices signed in to your Apple ID. Your notes are stored and synced by Apple under your Apple ID and Apple's privacy policy. I never receive them and have no way to access them. Inkfurrow does not use CloudKit or any server of its own, and you can turn sync off at any time to keep the library on the device.

Local Data Storage

Inkfurrow uses your device's local storage (UserDefaults) only to save app settings (such as theme, paper style, and editor preferences). This data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear it at any time by deleting the app.

Export

When you export a note to Markdown, plain text, HTML, or PDF, the file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to save or share it. Writer's notes are never included in exports.

App Store & Device Data

Apple may collect standard diagnostic or crash data if you choose to share it with Apple (this is optional and controlled in your device settings). Inkfurrow itself does not request or access any such reporting.

Apart from the optional iCloud Drive sync described above, Inkfurrow does not use Keychain or any other cloud service for your notes or preferences.

Children's Privacy

Inkfurrow is not directed to children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app does not collect any data from any user, no special measures are required; however, if you believe a child is using this app inappropriately, please contact me.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this privacy policy occasionally. Any changes will appear here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
