TextNova is a personal productivity app developed by HAHWUL. I respect your privacy and am fully committed to transparency. This policy explains how TextNova handles your information.

Data Collection

TextNova does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information from its users.

There are no:

  • Analytics or tracking
  • Cloud syncing or backups of your content
  • Third-party SDKs or services that collect data
  • Advertising identifiers or device fingerprinting

All features that use AI (such as text generation, summarization, rewriting, etc.) are powered exclusively by Apple Intelligence and processed entirely on-device. No input text, prompts, outputs, or any other user data ever leaves your device or gets sent to me or any third party.

Local Data Storage

TextNova uses your device's local storage (UserDefaults) to save your input text and app settings (such as preferences and session data). This data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to any external server, third party, or me. You can clear this data at any time by deleting the app.

Clipboard Access

TextNova includes a clipboard auto-detect feature that reads your clipboard content to conveniently pre-fill text input. This clipboard data is read locally on your device only and is never transmitted externally. On iOS 14 and later, the system will display a notification banner whenever the clipboard is accessed, ensuring full transparency.

On-Device Processing

TextNova relies on Apple's built-in on-device large language models via Apple Intelligence. This means:

  • Your text and interactions stay local to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  • Nothing is uploaded to servers for AI processing.
  • No data is shared with Apple or any external provider beyond what Apple Intelligence itself handles on-device (as per Apple's privacy commitments).

App Store & Device Data

Apple may collect standard diagnostic or crash data if you choose to share it with Apple (this is optional and controlled in your device settings). TextNova itself does not request or access any such reporting.

TextNova does not use iCloud, Keychain, or any other cloud service for storing user content or preferences beyond standard local app storage.

Children's Privacy

TextNova is not directed to children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app does not collect any data from any user, no special measures are required; however, if you believe a child is using this app inappropriately, please contact me.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this privacy policy occasionally. Any changes will appear here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
